Getting too much of the sun can damage your skin which leads to formation of wrinkles. It is important not to stay outdoors between 10 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon to prevent from damaging your skin.

It may be wise to apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 everyday if you cannot avoid getting under the sun during late morning and early afternoon. A wide hat, a long sleeved clothing and long pants can also shield your skin from the damaging sun rays. Smoking can also cause wrinkles since tobacco components may reduce or adversely affect skin production of collagen.

How to Get Rid of Wrinkles?

Aging wrinkles are not temporary wrinkles such that persons with this condition usually seek treatment.

A popular treatment for people with aging wrinkles and those who are conscious of their external appearance is botulinum toxin which is a neurotoxin protein. An example of this toxin is Botox, both for therapeutic and cosmetic use. This medication removes wrinkles by immobilizing the muscles that cause the wrinkles.

Derma fillers are injectables used to correct wrinkles as well as depressions in the skin so as to improve affected skin appearance while glycosaminoglycans maintain structural integrity of tissues to maintain fluid balance.

Tretinoin has the capability to stimulate mitotic activity while increasing turnover of follicular epithelial cells.
